Leave it!!! it stinks.
Assalamu Alaikum. ‘Leave
it! It stinks’
these are the words of the noble Prophet [SLAWS] to TRIBALISM. Al-bukhari and
others narrated
from
Jabir that “We
were one day on an expedition, then a man from the Muhajireen beat another man
from the Ansar, then the man from the Ansar shouted [calling his folks] : Oh,
Ansar!!! And Likewise the man from Muhajireen shouted : Oh, Muhajireen !!!
When the Prophet heard that he said : ‘What
a call of the Dark ages’
He
was then told that a man from Muhajireen beats another from the Ansar, then he
added : ‘Leave it! It stinks’ ” Allah
– subhanahu wa ta’ala – has since explained the wisdom of making us in
into tribes and nations He said : 49/13
- O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and
made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may
despise each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of God is (he
who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well
acquainted (with all things). It
is thus pertinent that we should as much as possible try to avoid the ‘calls
of Jahiliyah’ and join hands to make the ‘Word of Allah Supreme’. We
should also constantly remind ourselves of the dangers of such parochial and
myopic philosophy of life.
Allah
by his wisdom has not singled out a tribe or nation without the good or bad in
it. No matter how much one accuses a tribe he won’t go far until he
contradicts himself and likewise no matter how much you praise a tribe you
will soon discover what disprove you. No body belongs to a tribe by his choice
or actions therefore it is most unfortunate for one to judge people by their
ethnicity, when on the other hand we are suppose to hold people responsible to
there actions and beliefs we forget that because of TRIBALISM. 49/11
- O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: it may be that
the (latter) are better than the (former): nor let some women laugh at others:
it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor defame nor be
sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: ill
seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has
believed: and those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong.
12
- O ye who believe! Avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion is
some cases is a sin: and spy not on each other, nor speak ill of each other
behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead
brother? Nay, ye would abhor it But fear God: for God is Oft Returning, Most
Merciful. Ahmad |
